Mayer Secures Defense Verdict in Bexar County Medical Malpractice Case

A Bexar County jury recently issued a defense verdict in favor of two physicians represented by the firm in a medical malpractice case. The Plaintiff accused our clients of improper surgical care following a decompressive laminectomy and failing to recognize and diagnose cauda equina syndrome as a result of fluid collection near the patient’s spinal cord. After a week-long trial, the jury found that the care provided was not improper, nor did it cause the damages claimed. A defense verdict was issued of no negligence for both orthopedic spine surgeons.

Our clients were represented by partner Kenneth Patterson and associate Andrew J. Upton.
