After a week-long trial, a Dallas County jury came back with a verdict finding no negligence on the part of a Mayer LLP client. In a trial delayed for several years by the COVID-19 pandemic, the jury finally had the chance to vindicate a nurse practitioner accused of violating the standard of care while treating an elderly patient. After hearing evidence from ten witnesses, including several expert physicians, the jury found in favor of the defense. The nurse practitioner was represented by attorneys Kenneth Patterson and Bailey Strohmeyer.
