After growing up in Utah and attending Utah State University, where he received an undergraduate degree in Economics (cum laude), Jake moved to Texas to attend law school at Baylor University School of Law. Following graduation, Jake’s career has focused on civil litigation and particularly legal research, writing, and analysis related to the defense of third-party insurance claims. That focus has allowed him to assist on cases and appeals in a variety of jurisdictions, including New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, Texas, Ohio, Illinois, and California. Jake has had experience in a variety of areas, including personal injury defense, discrimination claims, construction defect claims, and contract disputes. Jake is now a member of Mayer’s insurance coverage section. Jake is a member of the State Bar of Texas.

Outside of work, Jake enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, reading, and gardening.
