Abbey Pampin joined Mayer in 2023 and is a partner in the Houston office. Her practice is focused on defending individuals, small businesses, insurers, and homeowners' associations in complex civil litigation. She defends claims involving dram shop liability, premises liability, professional liability, construction defect, product liability, and personal injury, with particular depth in matters arising in the hospitality and trucking/transportation industries. She also has experience defending breach of contract and business tort claims. Abbey has a particular interest in defending childcare facilities.

Abbey manages a substantial and active docket. Her hospitality-industry defense work includes representation of hotel operators and franchisees, as well as bars and restaurants, in premises liability and dram shop litigation. Her transportation-industry practice includes the defense of trucking companies and their drivers in serious personal injury and wrongful death litigation arising from commercial motor vehicle accidents.

Prior to her work in insurance defense, Abbey represented personal injury plaintiffs in litigation. This dynamic experience gives Abbey a unique perspective into the litigation process from both sides of the bar and allows Abbey to be an effective advocate for her clients. Abbey provides tailored, comprehensive legal counsel from pre-litigation through trial. She prides herself on her attention to detail and effective communication. In her free time, Abbey enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
