Partner Lori Hood recently facilitated an agreement for a groundbreaking pilot facility in the UK. The agreement combines construction, licensing, and production responsibilities to bring together three companies to develop a facility that produces next-generation fluoropolymers that will enhance materials used to manufacture lithium-ion batteries, solar panels, and wind turbines.

Mayer’s client, InnoVent Technology will provide expertise in process simulation, engineering and automation solutions, and turnkey process plants. PrimeStar Technologies will provide chemistry to develop the next-generation flouropolymers. Koura, a global solutions leader in the fluorine and advanced materials space, will build the first facility outside of China to access scaling technology for fluoropolymers that can deliver improved safety, performance, and sustainability.
