Vanessa Williams is a Senior Attorney in the Dallas office of Mayer LLP and was born and raised in Dallas-Fort Worth. Vanessa focuses her practice on insurance defense in personal injury cases and routinely defends transportation companies and property owners. She routinely handles cases involving motor vehicle accidents, including those with fatalities, multiple vehicles, and significant damages.

Vanessa obtained her B.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice with honors from the University of Texas at Arlington and graduated Texas A&M School of Law. After law school, Vanessa became a prosecutor and tried numerous cases to trial. Eventually changing course, Vanessa moved into civil litigation where she has defended clients in various types of cases, including dram shop liability, construction defect, personal injury, and premises liability. She is licensed in State and Federal Court.

Away from the office Vanessa enjoys spending time with her family traveling and going to Texas Rangers baseball games.
