Sayan Heckel is an attorney based in Mayer LLP's San Antonio office. Her practice area includes construction defect and complex litigation.

Before attending law school, Sayan earned her B.B.A. in Marketing with a Minor in Legal Studies from the RAWLS College of Business at Texas Tech University in May of 2021. In Fall 2023, she returned to her alma mater as a law student.

While attending Texas Tech School of Law, she served as a Staff Editor for Volume 17 of the Estate Planning & Community Property Law Journal (EPJ), then as the EPJ Business Manager for Volume 18. As Business Manager, she raised over $50,000 to establish a scholarship for future Journal members in honor of the now-retired Gerry W. Beyer and his wife, who started the Journal in 2008. She graduated in May 2026, earning her J.D. In July of 2026, she passed the Bar exam and became a first-generation attorney.
