Jorden earned a full athletic scholarship to play tennis at Grambling State University, where she graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.  She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois, Chicago John Marshall Law School in 2016.   While in law school, Jorden was actively involved in the Student Bar Association and served as Vice President of the Black Law Students Association. She also gained hands-on experience through internships at the State’s Attorney’s Office in the Domestic Violence Division and as an advocate with the John Marshall Fair Housing Clinic.

Jorden began her legal career at a plaintiff’s firm, where she handled a wide range of personal injury matters, including medical malpractice, premises liability, car accidents, slip and falls, and trucking cases. She later joined Baron & Budd, P.C., working in the opioid division on multidistrict and state litigation related to the opioid epidemic. Most recently, for the past three years, she has focused on insurance defense, managing car wreck cases from inception through resolution, including trial.

Outside of work, Jorden enjoys baking, something she turned into a holiday business during undergrad, relaxing with her dogs, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
