James M. Murrell practices primarily in the areas of personal injury, transportation, and construction litigation. He has significant experience representing Plaintiffs and Defendants in a wide variety of legal matters in both state and federal court throughout the State of Texas. He is able to use this experience to develop and implement creative defensive strategies to protect his clients’ interest from the date of the incident through trial. James regularly handles cases involving major claims and catastrophic injuries involving claims of negligence, premises liability, and wrongful death.
James was born and raised in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex before attending Texas A&M University for both his undergraduate and legal studies. He earned his Bachelor of Art in Political Science in 2014, and subsequently obtained his Juris Doctorate in 2017. Outside of work, James enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife and young daughter.

- Successful dismissal of all personal injury claims against commercial concrete company via summary judgment in Tarrant County, Texas including award of attorneys’ fees and sanctions against opposing counsel for filing of frivolous lawsuit.
- Successful dismissal of negligence and premises claims against ophthalmology facility via summary judgment in Tarrant County, Texas related to allegations of injuries caused by unsecured equipment.
- Successful defense and resolution of wrongful death case in Dallas County, Texas involving collision between motorcycle driver and tractor-trailer of international distributor of construction materials.
- Defended claims against transportation company and driver in multi-death wrong way highway collision in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Amarillo Division, including dismissal of all direct negligence claims against transportation company for failure to state a claim.
- Defended general contractor in severe arc-flash electrocution incident involving multiple claimants at large construction project in Dallas, Texas.
